Made by Shiny and distributed by Staedtler Australia, it comes in a box printed Shiny DATER STAMP D-5. Staedtler’s catalogue gives the range a strong metal frame and a comfortable handle, and the date is set by rotating the wheels for day, month and year.

A compact date is useful where space is short: the date field on a delivery docket, the corner of a cheque butt or a small sticker label. It is a non self-inking stamp, so keep a stamp pad beside it. For a larger impression, choose the 4mm 9SD-4 or 5mm 9SD-3.
