Ten Everyday Colouring Pens That Survive A Lost Cap

Staedtler Noris 326 C10 is a box of ten fibre-tip pens in yellow, orange, red, violet, blue, pale blue, green, willow green, brown and black, made for the daily wear of a school pencil case.

Two details matter most with young colourists. First, Staedtler call the ink DRY SAFE: a pen left uncapped can sit for days without drying out. Second, the tip is locked, so pressing hard will not push it back into the barrel, a common way for a fibre pen to fail.

The ink is water-based and, according to Staedtler, washes easily out of most textiles. The line is about 1.0 mm, fine enough for outlines in a colouring book and still quick to fill a shape.

Staedtler state the 326 is made in Germany and conforms to EN 71.
