Fine Red For Corrections, Warnings And Defect Tags
Staedtler 313-2 is a box of 10 red Lumocolor permanent superfine pens, each writing a line of about 0.4 mm.
Red is the colour people read first, so it carries the notes that must not be missed: corrections on drawings and proofs printed on film, expiry dates on containers, faults written straight onto a part, out-of-service notes on equipment and the reject tray on a sample rack. The superfine tip keeps even long notes legible on a small tag.
Like the rest of the Lumocolor permanent range, the 313-2 is a universal pen that Staedtler say works on almost all surfaces, overhead film, glass, metal, timber and plastics among them. The ink stays put when wet and does not smudge once dry, which takes seconds. Forget the cap for a few days and the DRY SAFE tip still writes.
One limit to note: Staedtler give the lightfast rating to black only, so red writing in strong sunlight may fade over time. For signs that live outdoors, pair it with the black 313-9.
The pen has a locked tip and PP barrel, is airplane-safe and is made in Germany per Staedtler; red refill pots (487 17-2) are listed in the catalogue.
