Staedtler Lumocolor Chalk Marker Assorted Pack 4 344 C4

Four Core Chalk Colours For Boards, Glass And Mirrors

Staedtler 344 C4 is a box of four Lumocolor chalk markers in white, yellow, red and blue, the basic colours for menu boards, windows and signs.

Liquid chalk goes on smoothly and opaquely, and according to Staedtler it comes away from nearly all smooth surfaces with a damp cloth. Their list of suitable surfaces includes dark boards, glass, windows and mirrors. On a typical board, white carries the main message, yellow and red pick out prices and specials, and blue adds a cooler contrast line.

The liquid chalk is low-odour and water-based with high colour brilliancy, per Staedtler. The bullet tip draws a line of about 2.4 mm, a comfortable width for board lettering, outlines and simple drawings.

Give each marker a shake and press the tip down a few times to start the flow, as Staedtler’s shake and pump symbol shows. Test a hidden corner first on painted, porous or unsealed surfaces, which can hold on to colour.
