Staedtler Jumbo Colouring Markers Wallet 12 Assorted 340 WP12

Jumbo Colouring Markers For Filling Big Areas Fast

Staedtler 340 WP12 is a wallet of 12 Noris jumbo colouring markers in assorted colours, thick-barrelled pens that lay down a broad band of colour.

Staedtler give the 340 a line of approximately 3.0 mm and a locked tip: under very heavy pressure the tip stays put instead of being pushed back into the barrel, which is the usual way a child’s marker dies early. The barrel is polypropylene and chunky enough for small hands to hold without a pencil grip.

Colour-wise the wallet goes beyond the basics. The colour chart shows pink, light blue, light green, grey and brown alongside the primaries and black, so skies, grass and faces can be different shades rather than one flat green or blue. The ink is water-based, and in Staedtler’s words it washes easily out of most textiles.

The clear wallet shows at a glance which colour is missing. Staedtler’s current wallet carries underwater artwork; an earlier Noris Club version is shown further down.
