Stabilo CarbOthello Chalk-Pastel Coloured Pencil Cold Grey 3

A Cool Mid Grey For Shading Without Muddying

Stabilo 0178166 is Cold Grey 3 from the Stabilo CarbOthello pastel pencil range, printed 1400/724 on the barrel.

A cold grey has a slightly bluish cast, which keeps shading on the cool side of the palette. Cold Grey 3 is a mid value that works for concrete and stone, brushed steel, storm clouds and the shadow side of white objects. Pair it with Cold Grey 2 for a lighter step, or with Neutral Black for the darkest accents.

ACCO describe a wonderfully dry and dusty stroke from a 4.4mm lead, and the wooden casing guards that lead against snapping. Being a single shade, it replaces the grey that wears down first in a set.
