Sheaffer 300 Ballpoint Pen – Matte Gray – Black Trim

Modern Industrial: Sheaffer 300 Ballpoint Pen Matte Gray & Black Trim

Embrace a sleek, “tech-forward” aesthetic with the Sheaffer 300 in Matte Gray and Polished Black Trim. While the 300 series is traditionally known for its classic high-gloss finishes, this modern variant strips away the shine in favor of a contemporary, industrial look that feels right at home in a creative studio or a high-tech boardroom.

The Matte Gray edition replaces the traditional “cigar” warmth with a cool, architectural gray lacquer. Paired with polished black appointments, it offers a sophisticated alternative to the standard black pen while maintaining the substantial, commanding presence the Sheaffer 300 is famous for.

Signature Features: The Contemporary Maverick

The Matte Gray 300 is part of a newer wave of finishes designed to bridge the gap between Sheaffer’s heritage and modern design trends.

• Tactile Matte Gray Finish: The barrel and cap are coated in a durable, non-reflective gray lacquer that feels smooth to the touch and resists the appearance of fingerprints and micro-scratches.

• Polished Black PVD Trim: The wide center band, nose cone, and iconic slotted clip are finished in a high-shine black. This “black-out” trim provides a sharp, aggressive contrast to the muted gray body.

• The “White Dot” Hallmark: Despite its modern colors, the pen proudly features the Sheaffer White Dot on the clipthe century-old symbol of mechanical excellence and quality.

• Ample Silhouette: The 300 is known for its wide girth and weighted feel. This provides a stable, “anchored” writing experience that is particularly comfortable for those who find slimmer pens fatiguing.

• Precision Twist mechanism: Features a smooth, reliable twist-action deployment, engineered for thousands of cycles of trouble-free use.

Filling Mechanism: The “K” Refill Standard

The Sheaffer 300 is built for performance and utilizes Sheaffers highly regarded “K” style ink technology.

• Filling Mechanism: Retractable Ballpoint (Twist-Action).

• Pre-installed Refill: Includes a Sheaffer “K” Style Ballpoint refill in Medium Black. This archival, oil-based ink is designed for “instant-start” writing and is virtually smear-proof on most surfaces.

• Compatibility: Easily refillable with any Sheaffer-style ballpoint refill, available in Fine or Medium points and colors including Blue, Black, and Blue-Black.

The Enthusiasts Note: “The Matte Gray 300 is a total departure from the ‘Grandpa’s pen’ image. It looks like it was designed by an architect. It has a great ‘heft’ that makes it feel much more expensive than it is, and the matte finish gives it a very secure, non-slip grip during long writing sessions.”
