Sakura groups its three smallest everyday black Micron tips, the 003, 005 and 02, into one blister pack for detail work where line control is everything.

At 0.15mm, 0.20mm and 0.30mm, these widths suit stippling, hair and fur texture, botanical veins, small lettering and the kind of cross-hatching found in pen and ink illustration. The pack front reads Black 3-pc. Set and Made in Japan, and the three warm grey barrels sit side by side behind a clear window, each with its tip number printed in purple.

Very fine tips reward a light hand, and having three close steps lets an artist build tone gradually without switching to a heavier pen too early. Sakura says the pigment ink will not bleed through the thinnest paper, useful on tracing layers and thin sketchbook stock.
