The 1798 Inks Collection from Herbin has been produced to commemorate the year that Jacques Herbin introduced his own line of inks, over a century after the Herbin company was first established in Paris, when Louis XIV was only 32 years old. The first inks includedEncre violette, which was used in schools,Perle des Encresandl’Encre des voyageurs.

This collection features a range of beautiful colours enhanced by the inclusion of silver particles.
