Derwent Watercolour Pencils Assorted Tin 24

A tin of 24 Derwent Watercolour Pencils for wet or dry work

Derwent Watercolour Pencils, 24 in a tin: soft, water-soluble colour that blends dry and flows like watercolour once wet.

Derwent describes its Watercolour Pencils as combining the control of a pencil with the watercolour medium, and this tin holds 24 of them. Used dry, the soft texture blends and layers on the page. Brushed with water, the colour flows like watercolour paint. Unlike Inktense, the colour is not permanent once dry, so it can be re-wet and worked again, which Derwent pairs with more subtle paintings.

Our code is AAR32883 and Derwent’s is 32883. The 24 colours Derwent lists for this tin are set out in the specifications. The pencils have a 3.5mm core and a hexagonal barrel, and Derwent gives the range ratings of 4 for blendable and 4 for layering.

Drawing and colouring materials more widely are listed in Drawing & Colouring. This listing sits in Watercolour Pencils with the other water-soluble pencil lines. General pencil stock sits under Pencils.
