Columbia Copperplate Hexagonal Pencil 2H Box 20

Copperplate 2H Pencils for Precise, Fine Linework

Columbia Copperplate 617002H is a box of 20 hexagonal 2H lead pencils. ACCO Brands describes the 2H grade as giving precise, fine lines, which makes it a natural fit for geometry, technical layouts and careful construction lines.

Every 2H pencil in the box wears the Copperplate livery that ACCO Brands describes for this flagship Columbia series, red with a dark brown capped end. Its hexagonal barrel has flat faces along its length. In the ACCO product photos the barrel is printed with columbia, copperplate and 2H, which helps when several grades share one pencil pot in a studio or maths room.

According to ACCO Brands, Copperplate lead sharpens easily and does so without crumbling. The 617002H carton carries its own printed version beside the 2H, reading “leads don’t crumble” with “easy to sharpen” underneath. ACCO calls the lead premium and high quality and credits it with a comfortable writing experience.

More grades sit in our lead pencils collection, and the drawing supplies range covers the rest of a technical kit. Sharpeners for keeping a 2H point are listed on their own page.
