Cutter Fitted From The Factory, 300dpi

The Brother TD-4550DNWBC is a four inch direct thermal desktop label printer with Brother’s cutter fitted from the factory, printing up to 108.4mm wide at 300dpi and up to 152.4 mm per second.

Media runs from 19mm to 118mm wide and up to 3,000mm long, on rolls to 127mm diameter. The control panel is 7 buttons and 3 indicator LEDs. Emulation covers P-touch Template, ESC/P, Raster, ZPL II, EPL, DPL and CPCL, so it can usually take label data from a system written for another brand. Brother supplies BarTender Lite for label design.

The cutter is fitted in the factory rather than added later, so the printer arrives ready to cut. One trade to know: Brother lists the tear bar as not applicable on the cutter variant, and the release mode becomes cutter rather than continuous and tear off. Fitted depth is 267mm and weight 2.45 kg.
