Columbia Copperplate Lead Pencils Hexagonal 4B Pack 2

A Pair of Copperplate 4B Pencils for Shading and Sketching

Columbia Copperplate 61700C4B is a pack of 2 hexagonal 4B graphite pencils, a small order for a desk or pencil case that needs a soft grade without a full box. ACCO’s grade note for 4B reads soft, dark lines, and it names shading and sketch work as the uses it suits.

ACCO Brands calls Copperplate its flagship Columbia series, recognised by a red body capped in dark brown. ACCO lists the barrel profile as hexagonal and the lead colour as graphite. In ACCO’s own photographs each barrel carries columbia, copperplate and 4B in gold lettering, with the grade nearest a white band at the capped end, so it stays readable when the pencil sits in a mixed cup.

ACCO states that the high-quality lead delivers smooth writing performance and sharpens easily without crumbling. The current hang pack in ACCO’s photography repeats the message with two printed points, leads don’t crumble, easy to sharpen, beneath a large 4B panel. An older blister also pictured on this listing is printed 2 Copperplate 4B Pencils.

Pair it with an eraser from our erasers range for lifting tone back out of a shaded area, compare other grades across lead pencils, or see the 4B box of 20 and the rest of the series in the Columbia collection.
