Red Chisel Marker For Corrections, Totals And Emphasis
Staedtler Lumocolor 351 B-2 is one red whiteboard marker with a chisel tip, writing about 2 mm on edge and about 5 mm on the flat.
Red is the colour most whiteboards reach for when something must stand out: a corrected answer in a maths lesson, the total at the foot of a column, a deadline circled on a planner. The chisel tip adds range, with a narrow stroke for ticks and short notes and a broad band for underlining or a heading.
By Staedtler’s account the ink dries fast with a low odour, and the catalogue lists it without xylene or toluene. It comes away from whiteboards, glass and porcelain with a dry eraser. A DRY SAFE rating from Staedtler (ISO 554) means a red marker left uncapped on the ledge for days should still write.
When the red starts to fade, the 488 51-2 refill station brings it back, and per Staedtler it is back in action within minutes. The 351 B is made in Germany, Staedtler state, and its tip is locked in.
