Violet Chisel Marker For Titles And Accents

Staedtler 351 B-6 is the violet Lumocolor whiteboard marker with a chisel tip, sold here as a box of 10 for meeting rooms, classrooms and training spaces.

A chisel nib gives two line weights from one pen. Held on its narrow edge it writes about 2 mm for labels and arrows; turned flat it lays down roughly 5 mm, wide enough for a title bar or for shading a box on a flow chart. Violet sits apart from the usual red, blue and black, so it works well as the colour for a second presenter, a parking-lot list or a set of action items.

A dry cloth or wiper lifts the ink from a whiteboard, and Staedtler say the same holds for glass and porcelain, with nothing left behind. It dries fast, the odour is low, and the catalogue describes the colour density as improved and the ink as free of xylene and toluene. Leave the cap off during a long workshop and DRY SAFE ink means it still writes days later, tested to ISO 554.

The tip is locked into the polypropylene barrel, so a heavy hand cannot push it back. Staedtler make 488 51 refill pots in red, blue, green and black only, so the violet is used until empty rather than topped up.
