Blue Chisel Marker For Colour-Coded Labels

Staedtler 350-3 is a blue Lumocolor permanent marker with a chisel tip, sold here as a single marker.

Blue sits alongside black as a working colour: it separates departments, routes or stock types on cartons and bins, and stands out on brown cardboard and white plastic without looking like an error the way red can. The chisel tip lets you write a neat label on the narrow edge, about 2 mm, then fill a block or arrow with the broad face, about 5 mm.

Staedtler give the 350 range smudge-proof and waterproof qualities on almost all surfaces, quick drying, low-odour, colour-intensive ink and a locked tip. Unlike black, blue is not described as weatherproof, so keep it for indoor or covered jobs.

The ink is DRY SAFE, so a forgotten cap does not ruin it for days, and the marker refills from the blue 488 50-3 station. The images show the blue marker itself; the close-up and in-use shots are Staedtler range photos with a black marker. Staedtler state it is made in Germany.
