Six Black Line Widths for Sketching and Inking

The Pigma Black Sketch Set gives six black Micron pens from the hair-fine 003 up to the 08, boxed with a pen and ink illustration of a Japanese castle on the front.

Sizes run 003, 005, 01, 03, 05 and 08, which the back of the box lists as 0.15mm, 0.2mm, 0.25mm, 0.35mm, 0.45mm and 0.5mm. The box calls Pigma the world’s first pigment fineliner, launched in 1982, and explains that the warm grey body colour takes its inspiration from Rikyu Shiracha, named after the tea master Sen no Rikyu.

Six graded widths let one artist handle everything from the faintest texture to firm outlines without leaving the range. According to the features panel, the ink dries quickly, does not bleed through the thinnest paper and is an archival quality ink described as waterproof, chemical proof and fade resistant.
